Lia saw Dr Lamb yesterday and he took a step back and couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He said “she’s a different child”. She laughed at him, smiled at him, looked at him and kept on kicking and pulling herself up on my lap. He said that HIPPS only clears up in less than 5% of cases and Lia’s went away in 6 weeks. He felt her muscles in her legs and feet and said “walking and talking are now on the card”. He phone a neuro physio and called her the “Rolls Royce” of neuro physios and we will start seeing her next week. It was a good day and he said it is remarkable that out of all the meds usually needed for Lia’s diagnoses, the only medication she needed to be on was Keppra. One day we’ll watch her at the ballet and Dr Lamb and all of us will be there.
